Because gasoline should be sipped

Forget Knight Rider (see below) (or, don't). I found my supercar.

The Aptera should be on the market by the end of 2008 — starting in Cali. The prototype gets 230 mpg, and the final production model is supposed to hit 300 mpg. That's right, 300 miles per gallon of gas. Seats two plus a child and up to 15 bags of groceries. Street price: $30K.

Who cares if it looks like a space shuttle? Maybe that's a bonus. Not sure if there's any nanotechnology to keep out bullets, but still...
